I HEART FACES: Innocent Wonder

I love watching my babies get to know each other.  They were in the womb together and are inseperable now but you can tell they still wonder about each other.  This picture says innocent wonder to me.

Go check out more "innocent wonder" photos at I Heart Faces

Day 84: The Best Part of My Day

Every morning after a good breakfast has been eaten by all and the sticky is wiped off of all 20 fingers and 2 button noses we have our morning devotions. As I pull the 2 baby bible devotion books off the counter all eyes are glued on me and when I begin to bring them to the table clapping and cheering abound. I read the story as the babies wait in anticipation to see the pictures. First we read a bible story then we read our daily devotion with the scripture and thought for the day. It amazes me most days how the Holy Spirit grips my heart and speaks to me through the Preschoolers daily devotion. I guess we’re never too old to go back to the basics. The babies love to worship so we sing our little hearts out and clap our hands and praise God. It’s so fun! Then we pray together. We’re still working on folding our hands so we don’t get distracted but we know God hears and loves our prayers anyways. This truly is the best part of my day. I love to see their excitement for the Word and worship. My babies know the name of Jesus and there isn’t any greater gift I could give them!

In a world full of despair where bad things happen, scary things happen and sad things happen I get the great gift of introducing my children to the Hope of the World…Jesus! Before they know disappointment they’ll know the one they can run to when they’re disappointed, before they know sadness they will know the one who gathers all their tears, before they know they need forgiveness they will know the one who has forgiven them. My life knows no greater purpose then to show and tell my children about Jesus!

Today I'm grateful I get to teach my children about Our Savior Jesus!

Day 83: Inspiration

There are few people in this world that truly inspire me. Not that casual inspiration that at one point in time you said, "Oh they're cool” and forgot their story the next day. Those people are a dime a dozen. I'm talking about those people that you meet and it truly lights a fire under your rear-end and gets you going to new places.

Inspiring is what I think of when I think of my friend Claudia. She is the kind of person that takes risks, never settles and believes God for the BEST!! I sit and listen to where she has been and believe me I am inspired, but with her it doesn't stop there because she wants to tell you where she is going. She's going to the next level, she's believing God for new things, and no matter what she’s not growing complacent. I love this about her! She is a mom of two teenagers, a wonderful wife, she's traveled the world, she's a successful entrepreneur and so many more wonderful things, but to her that's the past. What is important to her is to keep living the best she can and not settling for anything less than the BEST God has for her! She inspires me to live life to the fullest and keep pursuing more of what God has for me!

Today I'm grateful to be inspired by a great woman!

Day 82: The In Between

I love those moments in between responsibilities, in between plans and chores, those moments when it seems life really starts to happen. You didn't plan for these special moments but somehow they just are there when you slow down a little, when you lose your cell phone, move away from the computer and just focus on spending time together. My pastor always says the only thing you’re taking to heaven with you is your relationship with Jesus and your relationship with others. I think that makes a pretty good priority list for us. Relationships are the heart of God. He sent his only son to die for us so He could have relationship with us. Relationships are important! Yes relationships are hard at times, they take effort and responsibility, but I think there is no greater reward then knowing someone and them knowing you. It seems this genuinely begins to happen in the in-between.

Today I'm grateful for the in-between moments that relationship becomes the most important.

Day 81: Christmas 2010 (Still Catching Up)

Christmas was incredible with these two little joy bugs to share it with.  They pretty much got the present thing down by the end of Christmas day but it was fun watching them figure it out.  Zaya took the eating approach as she does to everything and Chase took the throw it on the floor and watch it bounce approach.  The best part was being together.  We spent Christmas Eve and Nana and Papa's and enjoyed a ncie dinner and The Candle Light Service.  Christmas day was so nice just a slow day hanging out in our Christmas jams, eating good food and enjoying our gifts.  The Lord is so good!  I'm overwhelmed with such blessing!  Christmas used to have a sting of sadness for me, but the Lord has redeemed this wonderful holiday for me and I'm so grateful!

Today I'm grateful for a Jesus, for Christmas, for gifts, and for family!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

More Catching Up

Christmas Festivities were hopping this year and we enjoyed every minute of it! We started some new family traditions, ate a lot of good food and somehow became the "Holy family". The best part was just spending time with so many great friends and family delighting in the slowness of the season. I'm not sure why we tend to make more time for those that are closest to us during this season but I wish it was more often that life became event oriented instead of time oriented. A goal I will have to carry with me for the New Year!

Going to the Christmas Play @ Freedom Chase was Baby Jesus, but we decided to where clothes to the play for a little while.
 Zaya was the prettiest angel!
Mommys favorite part of wonter...cute baby hats.

A Family Day to the Disney Resorts to see all the pretty decorations.

So glad to be with Daddy!
 Church Street in Dade City
Love being with good friends!

Love them all so much!

Today I'm grateful for such great friends and good times!

Day 80: Grace to Catch Up

Well December passed as fast as it came and now I find myself in 2011 with a lot of catching up to do so I can wrap up the old year and move into the new. I've been hearing some rumblings from a certain town in Indiana requesting some updates. Well Indiana family don't forget I have a comment section for encouragement...It always feels good to know your reading.

The last I left you was on the Baby’s Birthday! It was a "smash" of a party and the babies loved smashing into that cake. Zaya went after that huge Cupcake with Gusto. She made Mama proud! Chase enjoyed all the people and showing everyone how messy he was aloud to get!  He made Daddy proud! It was such a fun day! I still can't believe how fast a year goes by when you've got two little ones to think about.

Today I'm grateful you are all giving me grace to do some catching up.  Even if your not It's my blog so I guess I can give myself grace.

Check back for more catching up this week.
